Harvest organic ingredients from our 6000m² garden, bake bread in a traditional wood-fired oven, and cook your Moroccan feast in our panoramic glass kitchen overlooking Mnar.

Pick it Cook it is Tangier’s first and only farm-to-table cooking class, set on a 6,000 m² organic garden estate with a panoramic glass kitchen and 360° views over the Mediterranean – where guests harvest their own ingredients and cook authentic northern Moroccan dishes from scratch.
Located in the scenic region of Mnar, we offer an experience unlike any other in northern Morocco. You pick fresh herbs and vegetables from our organic garden, bake bread in a traditional wood-fired oven, and cook the catch of the day. Leave with real skills, a full stomach, and a table of new friends.
Cook in a panoramic glass kitchen with 360° views over the Mediterranean bay - the most scenic cooking studio in northern Morocco.
Learn from local chefs, use heritage techniques, and eat what you cook. No performance, no tourist show - just real Moroccan food, made by you.
Every Pick it Cook it session is built around four signature Moroccan dishes – chosen for their cultural depth, learnable technique, and the fact that they use ingredients you’ll harvest from our garden that same morning.
Morocco's most iconic dish, and the one every visitor wants to take home. You'll learn to build the spice base - cumin, saffron, ginger, ras el hanout - layer the chicken with fresh herbs from the garden, and slow-cook it in a traditional clay tagine. The result is tender, deeply aromatic, and unmistakably Moroccan. We'll send you home with the recipe and the technique.
Couscous is more than a dish in Morocco - it is a weekly ritual, a symbol of family, and a UNESCO-inscribed cultural heritage. You'll learn the traditional method: hand-rolling the semolina, steaming it twice in a couscoussier, and building a broth with seven garden vegetables that changes with the season. Friday's family couscous, made by your own hands.
This is the dish that sets Tangier apart from Marrakech and Fes. Our coastal city has always looked to the sea - and this tagine reflects it: fresh fish or seafood (sourced that morning), marinated in chermoula - a vibrant blend of coriander, parsley, cumin, and preserved lemon - then cooked slowly with tomatoes, potatoes, and olives. A taste of the Atlantic, made entirely by hand.
No Moroccan meal begins without bread. You'll work two kinds: msemen, the flaky, layered flatbread folded by hand and cooked on a griddle, and khobz, the round traditional loaf baked in our wood-fired stone oven. The rhythm of folding and shaping is meditative, the smell of the oven is unforgettable, and the bread goes straight from the fire to your table.

Every session is hands-on, every meal is eaten together, and every recipe is yours to keep. Choose the format that fits your time.

Discover the art of Moroccan herbal tea in Tangier: pick fresh rosemary, verbena, and different kinds of mint, then learn how to prepare and share traditional atay ma’acheb.

Cook authentic Moroccan dishes with fresh ingredients in a short, hands-on class. Learn local techniques, enjoy your meal, and experience real Moroccan flavors.

Pick fresh ingredients from our garden, cook traditional Moroccan dishes with our chef, and enjoy a real farm-to-table meal in a peaceful natural setting.
Our garden is not a prop. It is a working organic farm where we grow the herbs, vegetables, and fruits that go directly into your cooking session. Before you touch a pan, you walk the rows with your chef – scissors in hand – picking what’s in season: coriander, flat-leaf parsley, mint, preserved lemon trees, rosemary, wild thyme. What you harvest in the morning is what you cook for lunch.
This is what separates Pick it Cook it from every other cooking class in Tangier: the ingredients have a story, and you are part of it.

Most shore excursions in Tangier show you the city. Pick it Cook it lets you cook it, eat it, and understand it – in a single, seamless experience that begins the moment we pick you up at the port and ends when we drop you back in time for departure. No taxis, no navigation, no guesswork.
Tell us your ship's all-aboard time at booking. We build your session around it and guarantee port drop-off with time to spare. We've never missed a sailing.
Your driver meets you at the Tangier cruise terminal. The estate is a short scenic drive away - close enough to fit comfortably in a port day, far enough to feel like a real escape.
Harvest from the garden, cook a full Moroccan meal, eat it overlooking the Mediterranean bay, and return to your ship with the recipes in hand. Everything in one place, nothing left out.

Pick it Cook it regularly hosts families with children, large friend groups, corporate teams, and school excursions. Our 6,000 m² estate provides something most medina kitchens cannot: space. Children harvest vegetables, roll dough, and eat what they’ve made. Corporate groups cook side by side, compete on tagine technique, and share a meal with the kind of energy that doesn’t come from a conference room.
We design every group session around your size, schedule, and objectives – from an intimate family gathering to a structured team activity for 30+.

At Pick It Cook It, the experience extends far beyond the plate. We invite you to explore the stunning landscapes of Tangier by land and sea. Start your day fishing in the Mediterranean, feel the thrill of a buggy ride through the hills, or enjoy a sunset on horseback.
After a day of adventure and cooking, there is no need to leave. Relax and unwind at our exclusive Mnar Castle, offering royal comfort and panoramic views just steps from the culinary estate.
Our team can assist with:
Board our private boat for a fishing trip in the Bay of Tangier. Catch your own fresh fish and bring it back to be grilled in our wood-fired oven.
Discover the hidden trails of the Mnar region. Choose between an adrenaline-fueled buggy tour or a peaceful horse ride overlooking the sea.

Pick it Cook it is designed with cruise passengers in mind - we track your ship's all-aboard time and guarantee you're back at the port before it sails. Our "Cook it" experience runs in under 3 hours including transfers, making it a perfect fit for a port day. We've never missed a departure.
Pick it Cook it is just a short drive from the Tangier cruise port, and yes - door-to-door transfer from the port is included in every booking. You don't need to arrange a taxi, navigate the city, or worry about directions; we meet you at the port and bring you back. Just show up and cook.
You'll cook authentic northern Moroccan dishes chosen for their flavour, technique, and cultural significance - typically a slow-cooked chicken tagine with preserved lemon and olives, hand-rolled couscous with seven seasonal vegetables, fresh-baked msemen or wood-fired khobz, and a Tangier-style seafood tagine with chermoula. Every ingredient is harvested from our organic garden or sourced locally that morning. You'll leave with the recipes - and the muscle memory to make them at home.
We offer three experience formats to fit any port schedule. "Cook it" runs approximately 2.5-3 hours including transfers - ideal for a short port window. The full "Pick it Cook it" experience, which includes a garden harvest session, takes around 4–5 hours. All durations include port pick-up and drop-off.
No experience whatsoever is needed - Pick it Cook it is designed for complete beginners and seasoned home cooks alike. Our chef guides you through every step, from spice blending to tagine technique, in a hands-on and relaxed setting. The only thing you need to bring is an appetite.

Yes - all dietary requirements are accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and halal. Moroccan cuisine is naturally rich in plant-based dishes, and our garden menu makes it easy to build a fully vegetable-forward experience without compromise. Simply let us know your requirements at the time of booking.
Pick it Cook it is one of the most family-friendly experiences in Tangier - children love harvesting vegetables from the garden, rolling dough, and eating what they've made. The estate is safe, open, and far calmer than the medina, with space to move freely. We welcome families with children of all ages.
Most cooking classes in Tangier take place in a private home or apartment in the city - Pick it Cook it is set on a 6,000 m² organic farm estate with a panoramic glass kitchen and views over the bay. You begin by picking your own ingredients from the garden, cook them in a fully equipped professional kitchen, and eat overlooking the Mediterranean. It's a fundamentally different experience: more space, more nature, and a genuine farm-to-table story behind every dish.
Pick it Cook it regularly hosts large groups, corporate team-building days, and school excursions - our estate can accommodate groups that most medina kitchens simply cannot. We design the session around your group's size, duration, and objectives, from a relaxed family gathering to a structured team activity. Contact us directly for group pricing and custom programmes.
Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little floury - aprons are provided, but cooking is a hands-on affair. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for the garden harvest. Bring your phone for photos, your appetite, and nothing else; we take care of everything from the moment we pick you up at the port.
