Choose your recipes. Cook from scratch with a local chef at Riad Asilah 32. Share the meal in Morocco's most artistic coastal medina. Private sessions from 3 people.
Cook it Asilah is a private hands-on Moroccan cooking class at Riad Asilah 32 where visitors choose the dishes they want to learn, prepare them from scratch with a local chef, and share the meal together in one of Morocco's most beautiful coastal settings.
Most cooking classes give you a fixed menu. Cook it Asilah gives you a choice. The session is built around what you want to learn a slow-cooked tagine, hand-rolled couscous, bastilla au poisson (Asilah's celebrated coastal dish), or a full spread of Moroccan salads. You decide. The chef prepares everything around your choices.
Asilah is not Marrakech. The cuisine here reflects the city's position at the edge of the Atlantic lighter spicing, stronger herb flavors, and an Andalusian influence carried across from the Spanish coast just 45 kilometres away. When you cook in Asilah, you cook the way people have cooked in this whitewashed medina for centuries.
You do not need to be a guest at Riad Asilah 32 to join. Cook it Asilah is open to all visitors in Asilah day-trippers from Tangier, guests arriving at Tangier Marina port or Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport, or anyone spending time on the Atlantic coast of northern Morocco. Private transfer from Tangier to Asilah is available on request.
Tell us what you want to learn at the time of booking. The chef organises the full session around your selection. One dish or a complete Moroccan feast you decide.
